Books by Robin Crawshaw

The Class of '58

Robin Crawshaw‘Class of '58 ’ compiled by Robin Crawshaw was pre-released on 17th June 2008 at the school reunion, where the first print run sold out.

Nineteen people share five years at grammar school during the 1950s; an education denied to many of their parents and children. They go on to become doctors and nurses, scientists and engineers, teachers and translators, and work for some of the country's best known employers. The Class of '58 has laid sewers in Dubai, painted platforms in the North Sea, improved health services in Albania and South Africa and guided the feed supply of buffaloes in Pakistan. At home, they have raised families, built stone walls and helped manage churches and sporting activities - they have even played guitar in a band and fried fish and chips. In this book, their individual stories are related at first hand and will be of interest to many people whose lives have reached a reflective stage and educationists looking for factual evidence from the period.
